I just read that the annual rate of inflation has crept above two per cent for the first time in two years. In particular, new figures released showed the consumer price index rising 0.5 per cent in the March quarter.

Whilst this probably won’t trigger any immediate reaction from the RBA, it does beg the question “have I reviewed my home loan and am I prepared for any rate increases when and if that happens?”

Our office has certainly witnessed a creeping up of some fixed rates on offer by lenders of late. Perhaps this is a signal that rates are starting to move?
